Leeds International School – Horana was inaugurated on 3rd January 2008 at 320, Anguruwathota Road, Horana. We are the fifth branch of Leeds International Schools network which has ten branches now. 

It is a great achievement to launch a branch of LIS in Horana to quench the thirst for English medium education of the children in this area, with up to date facilities and an experienced principal. During last ten years Horana branch has gained recognition and acceptance in academics, co-curricular and extra–curricular activities. The total personality development of all the students through discipline remains to be the forte of the school.

At present there are classes from Play Group to Form V and Grade 11.

We have all modern facilities for learning, such as a well equipped Computer laboratory, Science laboratory, Library and an auditorium. There’s a play area for pre-school and a spacious playground. Classrooms are well organized to create an attractive learning atmosphere.

After school, remedial and supportive classes are conducted to provide more support. 

Lots of co-curricular activities are held throughout the year in order to give opportunities for total personality development of students. 

The school has a religious environment which supports the students to develop spiritual and moral values.
