Our History & Profile

Our History & Profile

Founding and Development

LEEDS International School Tissamaharama was established in January 2023, marking LEEDS’ expansion into another region of the Hambantota District. The school began its journey with 53 students and 7 teachers, initially operating in a rented building as it introduced the LEEDS educational approach to the Tissamaharama community.
In its first year, the school demonstrated impressive growth, necessitating a move to a new premises in September 2023 to accommodate the expanding student population. This rapid development reflects the community’s enthusiastic response to the LEEDS educational model and the school’s commitment to quality.

Our Branch Today

Today, LEEDS International School Tissamaharama serves approximately 200 students with a team of 20 dedicated teachers. As one of the newest branches in the LEEDS network, the school focuses on providing quality education for the early stages of learning, creating a strong foundation for students’ future academic journeys.
Our current School provides a conducive learning environment with appropriately equipped facilities. Though young in its development, the school has quickly established itself as a valued educational institution in the Tissamaharama area, bringing the LEEDS standard of excellence to this community.
