Pre-School to Primary Teachers
Minimum qualification of Pre-School Teaching Diploma or Primary Teaching Diploma
Middle School Teachers
Relevant diploma or degree in the subject area
Upper School Teachers
Minimum of a degree or postgraduate qualification in the relevant subject area, along with proven service experience.

“My journey in education began with Leeds International School in January 2000 — a place that has been my professional home for over two decades. Under the guidance of Deshamanya Dr. Sarath Jayatissa, Madam Edussuriya, and the late Mrs. Abdeen, I started as a Mathematics and Science teacher at the Panadura branch.
Beyond academics, I actively contributed to the school’s extracurricular life — serving as Teacher-in-charge for Badminton (2001–2017), Karate, Swimming, Mini Tennis, and Prefects. I had the privilege of organizing the Inter-Leeds Badminton Tournament (2004–2005) and multiple Inter-house Sports Meets. I’ve also been a long-standing member of the Buddhist Society Committee and led various cultural and religious events.
From 2008 to 2017, I served as Sectional Head of the Secondary Section at Panadura, before moving into school leadership as Principal of Piliyandala (2018), Maharagama (2020), and Ambalangoda (2021). Since September 2023, I’ve been honored to serve as Principal of the Horana branch.
I initiated the Eco Club in 2017 and remain a proud member of SLASME and the Kalutara District Schools’ Badminton Association.This 25-year journey has been one of dedication, growth, and purpose. Every role has strengthened my commitment to the values of Leeds International School, and I remain passionate about shaping young minds with integrity, loyalty, and heartfelt dedication.

Starting as the Finance Manager, I have grown with the institution and now serve as the Group Finance Manager, overseeing the financial operations of all 16 school branches as well as the LEEDS Campus of Business and Technology (LCBT). LEEDS has been more than just a workplace—it has been a platform for professional development, stability, and continuous learning.
