Leeds International School Marks 26th
Anniversary with a Heartfelt CSR Initiative
On 6th September 2025, Leeds International School Network celebrated its 26th birthday in a truly meaningful way by extending compassion, gratitude, and support to our national heroes. In line with the school’s vision of nurturing not only minds but also hearts, a special CSR initiative was organized, bringing joy to the differently abled war heroes residing at “Mihindu Seth Madura”, Attidiya.
One of their long-held wishes visiting the iconic Colombo Lotus Tower was fulfilled through this program. The heroes were given the opportunity to witness the breathtaking views from Sri Lanka’s tallest tower, an experience filled with smiles, pride, and heartfelt emotions. This memorable tour was followed by a refreshment, shared in a spirit of warmth and fellowship. To further extend support, essential donations were also presented to help sustain the Mihindu Seth Madura premises, ensuring the comfort and well-being of its residents.

The initiative was graced by the presence of Dr. Sarath Jayatissa, Chairman of Leeds International Schools Network, along with Deputy Chairperson Mrs. Malithi Jayatissa, the Board of Directors, staff members, Leeds alumni, students, past pupils, and the Leeds Hands to Hearts Foundation. Their collective participation embodied the values of empathy, respect, and community service that Leeds upholds.
This CSR project not only honored the sacrifices of our war heroes but also symbolized the heart of Leeds celebrating milestones by giving back to society. It was a day that will be remembered as much for its compassion as for its celebration.
